CD Voice 2023

The box set "Voice 2023" consists of two CDs that include all twelve laureates of this tenth session of the Competition devoted to the voice.

The first CD is devoted to opera arias and Lieder with the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alain Altinoglu, recorded during the three final days at Bozar. The second CD contains recordings of the performances with piano accompaniment at Flagey, from the first round and the semi-final.

The Korean baritone Taehan Kim, First Prize, holds pride of place in the box set with most of his performances in the final and a large part of his programme in the semi-final and the first round. Second Prize, the American contralto Jamsin White (also winner of the Prix Musiq3 – Audience Prize) is also well represented in a selection that reflects the diversity of their repertory, from Handel to Montsalvatge, through Mahler and Wagner. The soprano Julia Muzychenko-Greenhalgh, the Russian-German Third Prize, also shines in a programme in line with her Competition itinerary.
